Fox & Friends Apologizes for Featuring Senator Kamala Harris in Story About Student’s Murderer

Fox & Friends had to issue an apology on Tuesday after they erroneously tied Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) to a story about a murder on a college campus.

Jillian Mele presented a packaged report about a University of Utah student who was shot dead last night. As Mele talked about how the student’s alleged killer apparently took his own life, Fox aired pictures of Harris when it seems that they intended to show the suspect’s mugshot.

Later in the show, Mele re-delivered her package, this time with the suspect’s photograph and a correction over the Harris mishap.

“Now, in an earlier version of this story we showed you the wrong video. We showed you pictures of Senator Kamala Harris instead of [Melvin] Rowland’s mugshot. We apologize for that error.”
