‘Kind of Dismissive’: Chris Wallace Confronts Trump for Attacking Hillary on ‘Woman Card’
Chris Wallace confronted Donald Trump on Fox News Sunday this morning about his attacks on Hillary Clinton‘s gender politics.
Wallace brought up Trump’s unpopularity with women and said that plenty of people reacted to his comments this week by saying “if you consciously went about it, if you specifically planned, you couldn’t have said anything that would drive your numbers among women even lower.”
Trump responded, “Really? Okay, well, I’m my own strategist, and I liked what I said and it’s true.”
Wallace still pressed on:
“She was a senator. She was the Secretary of State for four years. To say if she were a man she’d get five percent––isn’t that kind of dismissive?”
Trump responded by doubling down and saying, “If she were not a woman, she wouldn’t be in this race”
