Director Oliver Stone says he has heard that the DNC hack was an “inside job” as opposed to being a Russian-targeted attack.
CNN’s Christiane Amanpour asked him if he has any thoughts on “the use of Russia in this election” including the allegations that they hacked the DNC emails and other information.
Stone called it a “great fiction” to disguise the truth and said, “Intelligence experts that I’ve talked to have indicated to me that it’s probably an inside job.”
Amanpour asked him to elaborate. He said, “From the Democrats. From somebody who’s worked at the committee.”
He did not go into more detail than that.
