Sam Nunberg Is NOT DONE: Claims Lewandowski & Hope Hicks Had Affair, Trump’s an ‘Idiot’
HE’S STILL GOING ON TV!
After delivering lengthy, wild interviews to MSNBC’s Katy Tur and CNN’s Gloria Borger on Monday, ex-Trump aide Sam Nunberg appeared on Jake Tapper’s show to AGAIN dish about the Russia investigation.
And the former Trump campaign adviser kicked off his wide-ranging interview with the CNN host by claiming that former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski had an affair with just-resigned White House comms director Hope Hicks.
Nunberg appeared after news broke that he intended to buck a subpoena from Robert Mueller’s Russia probe to appear before a grand jury on Friday.
Defending his decision, Nunberg explained that he has not been in communication with Lewandowski nor Hicks, and did not want to hand his communications with former campaign staffers to Mueller.
“I despise Corey, why would I communicate with him?” Nunberg asked Tapper. “And Hope Hicks, who was having an affair with Corey?!”
Nunberg went on to slam President Donald Trump, who he claimed has not treated him well (“he treated me like crap,” Nunberg told Tapper), before lamenting his rising legal fees associated with the Russia investigation.
“I’m spending a lot of money on legal fees, a lot of other people are,” Nunberg said. “Granted Donald Trump caused this, because he’s an idiot.”
“Cause he decided to give an interview to Lester Holt the day after he fired James Comey, and then he decided to have the Russians in the Oval Office.”
Trump’s comments in his infamous interview with NBC’s Lester Holt is seen by many as evidence that the firing of former FBI director James Comey constituted obstruction of justice.
