Sanders Smacks Down Debate Question About Bill Clinton: ‘That Question Annoys Me’

NBC Democratic debate moderator Andrea Mitchell asked Bernie Sanders tonight about his past criticism of Bill Clinton‘s past behavior as “totally disgraceful.” She asked him if he regrets those remarks.

Sanders told Mitchell “that question annoys me” before complaining about how much people want him to personally attack Clinton. He said, “I have avoided that, trying to run an issue-oriented campaign.”

Mitchell said, “You didn’t have to answer it that way.”

Sanders responded, “Yes, his behavior was deplorable. Have I once said a word about that issue, no, I have not.”
