Cooper Spanks Trump Defender: ‘Why Do You Believe Juanita Broaddrick But Not These Two Women?’
During a panel discussion on CNN tonight, host Anderson Cooper got into a bit of a back-and-forth with resident Trump defender Jeffrey Lord over the bombshell New York Times report alleging Donald Trump inappropriately touched two women.
Lord blurted out about Bill Clinton rape accuser Juanita Broaddrick in relation to one of the women talking about her experience with Trump, wondering why she didn’t bring up Broaddrick. A confused Cooper stopped everyone dead in their tracks so he could focus entirely on what Lord was getting at.
Asking Lord directly why Broaddrick was relevant to the conversation and not getting a very satisfactory answer, Cooper pressed him some more.
Eventually, after Lord questioned the motives of the women who spoke to the NYT, Cooper just had to know. “Why do you believe Juanita Broaddrick and not these two women,” the CNN host asked the former Reagan staffer, leaving Lord stammering.
Lord tried to turn it into a conversation about the media being in the tank for Hillary Clinton, bringing up the Access Hollywood tape and why its release had been delayed for months. He got some assistance from fellow Trump supporter Kayleigh McEnancy, who name-checked Breitbart as the only news source doing any real reporting on Clinton.
