Cher’s Pre-Debate Twitter Rant: ‘I’m Praying Obama Kicks Mittens’s Ass’

If singer Cher didn’t make it clear earlier this year that she’s not a fan of GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney, she proved her point earlier today when she tweeted, “on way 2 Gym.Tonight is final debate & I’m praying Obama Kicks mittens ass 2 the curb! 1 thing that makes it difficult if not Impossible is.”

The musician, who said in May she wasn’t sure whether she could handle breathing the same air as Romney and “his Right Wing Racist Homophobic Women Hating Tea Bagger Masters,” tweeted Monday:

These are mild compared to the series of anti-Romney tweets Cher published in the spring. She removed her heavily-discussed tweet about Romney and his “Right Wing Racist Homophobic Women Hating Tea Bagger Masters” along with the tweet, “TOO HARSH? That’s me Holding BACK! They care nothing about the POOR The OLD The SICK The HUNGRY CHILDREN & People striving 4 a Better LIFE !”

After Cher dissed Romney, businessman Donald Trump took a swipe at the diva, attesting she was “an average talent who is out of touch with reality. Like @ Rosie O’Donnell, a total loser!” Trump went on to Fox’s Greta Van Susteren‘s program to get really honest about his views on Cher:

“I’ve watched her over the years, I knew her a little bit and, you know, she reminds me of Rosie with slightly more talent. Not much more talent, but slightly more talent…I likened her to Rosie as a loser. But, you know, I understand Cher, and Cher is somewhat of a loser. She’s lonely, she’s unhappy, she’s very miserable, and her sound-enhanced and computer-enhanced music doesn’t do it for me, believe me.”

Given the way Trump inserts himself into pretty much every political discussion, there’s no doubt in my mind he’ll knock on Cher a second time for attacking Romney.
