Countdown Mistakes Name Of UAE President ‘Burj Khalifa’
I have better things to do with my time than fact-check Countdown’s “Oddball” segments, and so do Countdown’s producers, apparently. Luckily, Redstate’s Caleb Howe lent his eagle eyes and ears to last night’s roundup of wackiness, noticing that Keith Olbermann misidentified the namesake of Dubai’s just-opened “Burj Khalifa,” or “Khalifa Tower.”
As Howe helpfully notes, the tower was named after the UAE President, but his name is not Burj Khalifa, it’s Khalifa Bin Zayed. “Burj” means “tower.”
