Limbaugh Mocks ‘Panic’ at Fox News over Gov’t Shutdown

Rush Limbaugh fired a shot across the conservative bow at Fox News today for its “abject panic” over the possibility of another government shutdown. And Limbaugh basically just mocked Fox for, as he put it, seemingly preferring to just give the losing Democrats whatever they want just so Republicans don’t do this one thing.

Limbaugh was baffled at the idea that right after a hugely successful midterm election, the Republicans are quietly being advised to make concessions to Democrats. He said that the fallout from Republicans not fighting is that the people who lost the midterm election get to write the budget for the first year of a Republican-led Congress.

And Limbaugh had a good laugh at Fox’s expense, mockingly wondering what Chuck Todd and the New York Times editorial page might say. He mock-explained, “Oh, gee. Don’t shut down the government. Oh, my. It’s better if the Democrats get everything they want. That’s much better than us getting flack for shutting down the government.”
