Palin Once Stood In Line Smelling Like Salmon To Meet Ivana Trump?

video

palin_salmonLook how far she’s come! That was the sentiment yesterday as the notorious viral video of Sarah Palin and slaughtered turkeys made the rounds. Well it appears that Palin herself is joining in that narrative, demonstrated by the following video clip of her must humble beginnings, and her desire to meet someone, anyone famous. Oh, and this clip originally aired on On The Record With Greta while being interviewed on the back of her tour bus! Look how far indeed!

Yesterday we caused a bit of a stir in the comments section by publishing footage of Palin doing an interview right in front of turkeys being slaughtered. The point of airing that video was less about demonstrating a rookie PR gaffe, but rather comparing how far Ms. Palin has come in terms of her (and her team’s) overall media savvy.

Well now, Palin is telling a similar story in an interview with Greta Van Susteren, where she admits to just how far she’s come.

Just curious….do you really think everything this woman says deserves huge headlines on this site? Really? seriously?
    Are you just bored?

  • TfT TfT says:

Funny that Puter, I had the same thought when I saw this headline. It’s kind of like the media folks are working over time to ignore the emails on global warming and the latest ACORN information.

Have you seen the “Hide the decline” video yet? Pretty funny.

well – Sarah Palin is a controversial topic – a lightening rod for critics and supporters alike. And, her actions right now are setting the stage for likely presidential bid in 2012. So – yeah, I think she’s newsworthy. Am I suffering from Palin fatigue? Sure. But she’s still making news.

Then your definition of news is not the same as mine. Repeating every single thing someone might say about a woman on a book tour is not news.

  • Colby Hall Colby Hall says:

And yet – here you are talking about it.

  • Puter Boi Puter Boi says:

    Colby?

No…in fact I am here questioning you…and your definition of news.

You know what most people do when they don’t think a topic is important? HINT: The answer is not, “Consistently be the first person to comment on it.”

  • ImNotBlue ImNotBlue says:

Come on, Puter… if they didn’t post about Palin… they’d have to talk about things like Climategate… and clearly, they don’t want to do that!

  • Tommy Christopher Tommy Christopher says:

If a media blog didn’t run stories about Sarah Palin at this point, that would be true Media Malpractice. What I’m wondering is why nobody is pointing out the fawning of the interviewer. If Brian Williams said “They love you, don’t they?” to Barack Obama, conservative heads would explode. #hyocrites

  • Pat Doherty Pat Doherty says:

Tommy is absolutely right. Can you imagine if Brian Williams did something like bow his head to Barack….. oh wait.

The Seven Best (Or, Somewhat Memorable) Moments Of The Jay Leno Show

    video

After 95 episodes, the epic failure known as The Jay Leno Show airs its final episode tonight. Of course, Leno himself will be back after the Olympics, comfortably at 11:35pm all over again. Which was pretty much the problem to begin with - the 10pm offering started as a similar product to the Tonight Show, and only became more like the old format as time went on.
