Sarah Palin: “Palin, In Iowa Decides To Run” (Full Speech)

Even the Palins appear to be talking about the presidential implications of Sarah Palin‘s current Iowa visit, even though it was clearly a joke. What is the phrase again? Many a truth are said in jest?

Yes, a suddenly self-aware and still solipsistic Tea Party advocate — who singlehandedly started a “GOP Civil War” by backing Christine O’Donnell — spoke at the Hy-Vee Hilton in Des Moines today. Her speech is below.

In an otherwise predictable pack of political platitudes, Palin gave the people what they wanted. Not surprisingly, part of that included the “candidate” finding time to take a shot at the media during her speech (transcript via TV Newser)

In this kind of strange unaccountable day of anyone and everyone getting to claim that they are a journalist, you have to ask yourself who are they really when the media uses unanimous sources to cowardly attack someone, their record, their intentions. First remember that these sources, if they ever even really exist, that they are cowards. Usually in some self-preservation mode.

So, is Palin going to run for President in 2012. Not yet officially. But she sure seems to be acting like it – which is probably great news for Barack Obama, and terrible news for Karl Rove. Discuss
