White House Chef Won’t Say in Interview Whether He Bakes or Fries Obama’s Chicken

The Obama administration’s secretive tendencies reached new heights over the weekend when a White House chef agreed to an interview but refused to answer the most innocuous questions, including whether the chicken wings he serves the first family are fried or baked.

Sam Kass, chef to the White House and husband to MSNBC’s Alex Wagner, wouldn’t say in the Bloomberg Politics Q&A how spicy the Obamas like their food. He wouldn’t say what foods they don’t like or prefer. And he wouldn’t name a specific dish he could prepare right now out of the White House garden Michelle Obama loves so much.

The most mind-boggling answer, though, was saved for the wings, when Kass was asked how he prepares them:

Bloomberg Politics: How do you make the wings? Bake them? Fry? Double fry?

Sam Kass: Those are the kinds of things you won’t get me to talk about.

How do the Obamas like their wings? Classified, sorry.
