Beck Clashes with Caller over Why He Won’t Back GOP Candidate: ‘He’s Not Our Guy’

Glenn Beck isn’t exactly that big a fan of establishment Republican types, and went back and forth today with a caller who was asking him why he won’t just support North Carolina Republican Senate candidate Thom Tillis to help the GOP take back the Senate. And Beck very adamantly said, “He’s not our guy.”

This caller, Kathy, told Beck that whatever he may think of Tillis, the ultimate goal is to take out Kay Hagan and take the Senate. Beck was incredibly confused, saying he hasn’t really talked about Tillis or paid attention to his race, but he did tell Kathy he is personally tired of voting for “the lesser of two evils.”

Kathy said it would be a shame for the libertarian to be a spoiler and sounded close to begging Beck to support Tillis. Beck said, “It’s not my job to support the political candidate from any of the parties.” He repeatedly referred to Tillis as “Karl Rove‘s candidate” and insisted he has no personal interest in helping Republicans take the Senate back if they’re not going to use that victory to pursue conservative principles.

What is it today with conservative radio show callers blaming the hosts for not helping Republicans enough?
