After today’s startling revelations by Big Government that Rep. Anthony Weiner had sent many photos of himself in various states of undress to “a young girl,” the Congressman announced a press conference to give comments on the new developments at 4 PM. Rep. Weiner didn’t make it to his press conference on time, but his podium rapidly found an eager occupant: Andrew Breitbart, who held his own press conference demanding apologies and promising “at least one more” scandalous photo.

It is with great sadness and grief that I report that Andrew Breitbart has passed away, at the too-young age of 43. According to Big Journalism, “Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles.”

Andrew Breitbart took the podium at CPAC Friday afternoon, to Rage Against The Machine’s Guerilla Radio, and revealed he had “videos” of Barack Obama from his college days. “I have videos, this election we’re going to vet him,” Breitbart disclosed to the crowd to raucous applause. “We are going to vet him from his college days to show you why racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008.”

Daily Caller founder Tucker Carlson “mischievously” bid on a dinner with none other than the “Bonnie and Clyde of the radical left,” Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. And, of course, he invited pal Andrew Breitbart to come along. “It was Look Who’s Coming to Dinner, Part II,” Breitbart joked.

Appearing on Fox News’s Red Eye Friday morning, Andrew Breitbart chided the Republican presidential candidates, calling them hypocritical for refusing to attend Donald Trump‘s Newmax debate, but continuously appearing on MSNBC. “What’s so frustrating is the people who are saying no to Donald Trump are the people who say (yes) every single week to the MSNBC’s of the world and are willing to sit there as Chris Matthews berates them, sets them up, and now they can’t stand Donald Trump when he is probably one of the only successful capitalists out there haling the economy which is a capitalist economy. These people are taking the wrong stand at the wrong time. If these guys have any integrity they say no to MSNBC — but they go after the only capitalist out there.”

Perhaps moreso than many of the conference’s guests over the years, Andrew Breitbart has emerged as a uniquely revered figure at CPAC, partly for his ability to work the CPAC crowd over the job President Obama has done while in office. But much of it has to do with his work at CPAC outside of his speeches– namely, his ability to engage just about anybody. Last night, Breitbart walked outside the hotel hosting the conference to attempt a chat with irate Occupy protesters, demanding they “behave yourselves” and “stop raping people.”

Remember the last time Andrew Breitbart was on MSNBC? His fiery exchange with David Shuster ended up in a lot of shouting and not a lot of discussing.

Well he was back on today with Dylan Ratigan – and Breitbart tells us he introduced the world to a whole new Andrew.

Ever since Andrew Breitbart reminded Occupy protesters at CPAC that their movement had a serious sexual harassment and rape problem, Breitbart and many in his company have been repeatedly making the point as a reminder to a public that has mostly forgotten that Occupy exists that they are not, in the aggregate, the most serious group of political dissenters. This has gotten the attention of some of the lower-tier fringe left, with the latest of these being noted political scholar Alec Baldwin, who added this veritable contribution to politics today: “Andrew Breitbart is a festering boil on the anus of public discourse.”

It’s amazing that this hasn’t gotten more press, but maybe that will change with a little help from my new allies in the fight against rape apologia, the gang at Big Journalism. If they thought Keith Olbermann‘s apparent denial of sexual assaults at Occupy encampments (since clarified) was revolting, this ought to make their vomit vomit: former Sen. Rick Santorum, national frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination, is not just a rape apologist, but a child rape apologist.

Andrew Breitbart and his Big Journalism colleagues have been waging all-out internet war on Countdown host Keith Olbermann over his failure to correct (or clarify) guest Markos Moulitsas‘ comments on sexual assaults at Occupy encampments, and for statements Olbermann has made on Twitter since then that seem to indicate denial that any such assaults occurred. While there is serious, legitimate criticism to be made of Olbermann here, the Breitbart crew undermines that with overreaches and lies.

Conservative media provocateur Andrew Breitbart made news at last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference by hectoring Occupy DC protesters with cries of “Stop raping people!” On Tuesday night’s The Young Turks, host Cenk Uygur challenged Breitbart over his rant, and his assertions that the mainstream media hasn’t been covering sexual assaults at Occupy protests. Breitbart told Uygur his rant was “a stunt to go over the mainstream media, to get people talking about the rapes.”

One of the regular features of the Conservative Political Action Conference is the annual rite of the behind-the-scenes viral video kerfuffle. This year’s version features Washington, DC video gadfly Liz Glover, last seen asking Newt Gingrich if he’s currently in an open marriage, confronting conservative media provocateur Andrew Breitbart over gay conservative group GOProud‘s exclusion from the conference, with a quick tag-in by Big Journalism Chief Editor and CNN contributor Dana Loesch.

Andrew Breitbart and Piers Morgan have made up since the time Morgan joked the former was “evil.” Not that he didn’t joke about it last night, but with that tension out of the way, the two– and a panel including Amy Holmes and Michael Reagan got to the business of just how conservatives could like Newt Gingrich again, of all people, and came to a strong conclusion: conservatives want someone to defend them from the mainstream media.

A couple of nights ago, during CNN’s New Hampshire coverage, there was an incredibly uncomfortable moment when Piers Morgan asked Andrew Breitbart a question while jokingly saying that he was “notoriously evil to people.” Breitbart misunderstood Morgan’s very British use of the word evil and reacted angrily. It was very tense but, fortunately, Morgan explained the misunderstanding an hour later in an email, the two made up, and Breitbart tweeted that they were “all good.” The end.

…until last night when Breitbart went on FBN to talk about how horrible Morgan is.

There was a whole lot going on last night and somehow we missed this little gem; During CNN’s New Hampshire coverage, Piers Morgan had a satellite chat with Michael Reagan and Andrew Breitbart. Morgan tried to ask Breitbart how badly the candidates were breaking the 11th Commandment of Michael’s father, jokingly referring to his guest as being “notoriously evil.”

Liberal watchdog Media Matters published an item yesterday showing that Andrew Breitbart‘s Big Journalism website repeatedly published an altered version of an anti-Semitic  Nazi-era propaganda cartoon. Breitbart responded that his blog had taken down the cartoon, prior to Media Matters‘ report, when editor Joel Pollak flagged the image as possibly offensive (the cartoon remains, at this writing, on three other Big Journalism posts). Neither party is content, as Media Matters continues to pound Breitbart, and Breitbart…well, that’s where this goes to 11.

Glenn Beck is very much not a fan of Newt Gingrich. If anyone didn’t yet know that from this interview, he made it very clear Saturday on Fox Business Network when he alleged that Gingrich was so similar to President Obama in his “progressive” ways, that the only reason Tea Partiers would like him over the President would be because of his race. Unsurprisingly, this has caused some anger. Even less surprisingly, one of those angry voices is Andrew Breitbart, a man who is very much not a fan of Glenn Beck.

The gay conservative group GOProud ignited a firestorm earlier this week when, in response to Rick Perry‘s latest campaign ad attacking LGBT soldiers, they issued a statement rebuking Perry pollster Tony Fabrizio for exhibiting “the height of hypocrisy” in being both gay and a Perry staffer involved in this. The problem in their comment was the fact that Fabrizio’s sexual orientation was not public knowledge, and now Advisory Board member Andrew Breitbart is resigning over the “intentional infliction of vocational and family harm” inherent in the practice of outing individuals who do not publicly divulge their sexual orientation.

Last night during America’s Nightly Scoreboard on Fox Business Network, Andrew Breitbart appeared to discuss possible union responses to California Gov. Jerry Brown’s proposed pension overhaul. As is typical these days, the conversation turned to the Occupy protests (“Occupy Wall Street or Occupy LA or whatever the heck they’re occupying,” as host David Asman put it). After Asman asked Breitbart if the unions would use the protests to “create another Greece,” Breitbart replied that, no, they won’t be looking to that nation. He claimed that they were instead getting their inspiration from Hamas.

On the heels of his “To Catch A Journalist” sting video, conservative activist James O’Keefe sat for a nearly 30-minute interview for Mediaite on Monday, discussing his attacks on Huffington Post’s Sam Stein, and his discrediting of Rutgers Professor Jeff Keefe. Toward the end of our interview, I asked O’Keefe if he would mind answering a few nagging questions about his previous work, specifically the CNN sex boat “caper,” and the racial subtext of his ACORN pimp costume.

Given the many comparisons between the Occupy Wall Street protests and its satellites and the Tea Party movement, it was about time the leaders of one movement collided with the other. On Follow the Money tonight, Tea Party veteran Andrew Breitbart gave his testimony of his experience walking around the Occupy Los Angeles protests, where a union member followed his every move and avowed socialists told him of their conversions.

Conservative activist Andrew Breitbart is at it again, continuing a years-long effort to falsely tie President Obama to the New Black Panther Party, favorite big black bogeyman of the conservative media. The big story this time is that New Black Panther leader Malik Zulu Shabazz photobombed then-Sen. Barack Obama at a commemorative march in Selma, Alabama, in 2007, and that the two “shar(ed) the same podium” at the event. Let’s count the lies and distortions together.

Over the weekend, Andrew Breitbart posted a profane speech he gave at a Tea Party conference attacking Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Janeane Garofalo. Many found the language inappropriate, but on tonight’s Last Word, Lawrence O’Donnell took the opportunity to psychoanalyze Breitbart as a little boy who never made it in Hollywood, taking swipes at the “honorable and decent” Garofalo out of envy.

Andrew Breitbart has, once again, gone too far. At a speech this weekend at Tea Party convention TeaCon, Breitbart attempted to serve the crowd red meat while being wildly profane, going off on Rep. Nancy Pelosi for being a “bitch” and joking that chronically irrelevant liberal person Janeane Garofalo was “Hollywood’s sympathy f*ck,” therefore negating the validity of her opinions. In doing so, Breitbart crossed a fairly thick line: there is a way to give the crowd red meat without slaughtering one’s own reputation in the process.
