Cee Lo, Puppets And Gwyeth Paltrow Impossibly Add Up To Grammy Gold
Cee Lo Green had one of the most infectious songs of the last year called F*ck You, but the original iteration made it impossible for radio and broadcast television to embrace. No problem, Green quickly re-cut a different version, rebranding it as Forget You, so that innocent ears of broadcast television viewers could enjoy the pop confection. On tonight’s Grammy Awards more than made up for the censoring of original version, adding feathers, puppets and an oddly cast Gwyneth Paltrow.
Pink, Wet & Naked High Above The Grammy Stage (VIDEO)
There was Gaga and there was Beyonce, there was Taylor Swift and there was the Zac Brown Band, but soaring high above the rest of the 2010 Grammy Awards was a woman whose performance was daring, but beautiful and affecting — even though she was damn near to naked and hanging from a sling as [...]
Grammys Fashion: Hits And Misses, And Plenty Of Yawns
It’s always been my understanding that the Grammys are Hollywood’s Halloween of sorts. For one night, all bets are off. You can stray from safe, bring the hem line up, and add an inch (or 5) on your heel. Here’s a look at the best (and worst!) of what the red carpet had to offer tonight.
Beyoncé At The Grammys: Everything Okay With Jay-Z There, B?
Um, how are things in the Beyoncé-Jay-Z household? Because I was getting some anger tonight. Winner for “Single Ladies” when she’s already got the ring, Beyoncé was also nominated for “Halo,” a song about just how much a woman loves her awesome wonderful heavenly godly fabulous man. And by all accounts, Jay-Z is pretty cool. [...]
Lady Gaga and Elton John At The Grammys: Two Giants, One Piano, Many Sequins
The Grammys kicked off tonight with the union of two epic figures of music and fabulosity: Lady Gaga and one of the giants upon whose shoulders she stands on in Alexander McQueen platform shoes, Elton John. “How wonderful life is with Gaga in the world,” sang Elton, playing on the lyrics to his seminal ballad, [...]
Grammy Awards 2010: Beyonce vs. Taylor vs. Gaga, and Other Showdowns
Here’s the central question of tonight’s Grammy awards: Was Kanye right? Is Taylor Swift all well and good, but did Beyoncé have the best video of all time — and the best record, album, song, female pop performance? Or will everyone be gaga for Gaga? And how often do you think “gaga for Gaga” will [...]
