Ann Coulter: Bill “Horny Hick” Clinton A “National Embarrassment” In Haiti

In a new Geraldo At Large segment focusing on the relief effort in Haiti, eternal pot-stirrer Ann Coulter jumped at the opportunity to say something controversial, as she’s wont to do. Responding to a general prompt about the emergency response — did we do more to help Haiti than disaster victims in the U.S.? — Coulter segued sloppily into her own criticism: “Can we get to the shame and embarrassment of Bill Clinton being involved in this bipartisan effort?”

Why not, she is told reluctantly, as the viewing audience either collectively sighed or became enraged at the mere mention of the former president’s name. The other two women on the panel chuckled.

“It’s not like there aren’t other ex-Democratic presidents out there,” Coulter said. “As long as there aren’t any Jews in Haiti I think Jimmy Carter would be just fine. He would be better than The Horny Hick,” she continued as Coulter’s counterparts stifled more laughter.

“He’s a national embarrassment and to force poor ex-president Bush, as if he hasn’t suffered enough, to be hanging around with Bill Clinton…” ranted Coulter. Unsurprisingly, she found no support on the program, and unsurprisingly, the following clip will be everywhere in a matter of hours. She’s as ridiculous as she is impossible to ignore.

Coulter is utter trash.FOX should be ashamed to air this horrendous, vile, despicable person.

Luckily nobody is ever going to ask Ann Coulter to be the face of anything other than shameless self promoter. She wants attention and publicity, just like Rush, just like Olberman, just like Hannity, just like pretty much every talking head in cable news and talk radio. They don’t care about you, me, or America. They only care about $$$

  • sarainitaly

she says things to get attention, and a reaction. she can be quite funny, and sometimes she makes good points. i like the clintons, she doesn’t – clearly. but, to a lot of people, bill c is an embarrassment, and they can’t stand him because of what he did.

i think it is a good thing that obama followed Bush’s lead, and appointed two former presidents to help. they will get a lot more donations that way.i don’t think the hatians care that bill c couldn’t keep his zipper up.

  • Tommy Christopher

The shame is that people like Coulter and Rush Limbaugh use a still-unfolding tragedy like this to gain attention for themselves (Ann’s Clinton chuck would’ve kept ’til CPAC), and we give it to them. I think this episode will damage both of them with their own audiences, the reasonable fringes of them, anyway.

I haven’t seen much from liberals on this, but I get the sense that both Clinton and George W. Bush are gaining a measure of redemption here, in service to what could not be a worthier cause. America is about second chances. Maybe Limbaugh and Coulter will get theirs, someday.

  • blueblogger

Oh Tommy my goodness you have to know that people like Limbaugh and Coulter never GET THHEIRS. The fact that this is even news is insane. I know people think liberals are mean but this takes the cake. Clinton regardless of his very poor behavior is still loved around the world. You didn’t see George Bush on the ground there doing anything. But I guess that is OK. Okay Bush didn’t get caught sexing it with anyone (no one would want to with him anyway) Ha Ha Everyone know Coulter and Lambaugh are just attentions whor– but why would any news station want this grabage she spews?? That is my complaint.

  • da-wdc

I don’t see why they needed to put her on the air to talk about Haiti. Tthey know what kinds of things she’s going to say.

  • sarainitaly

The shame is that people like Coulter and Rush Limbaugh use a still-unfolding tragedy like this to gain attention for themselves and we give it to them.

Exactly. they do it because it works. if people quit paying attention, they would quit doing it. and when the media, you included, give them the attention, they win.

that’s why i quit giving Olby and Tingles any attention.

  • TfT

People say things to get attention. I mean really, who in their right mind actually thinks that Brown would support “sodomizing” Coakley?

  • Jelperman

For a Jew-hater like Ann “thrax” Coulter, who said she wanted to leave New York because too many Jews lived there, to accuse anyone of being anti-Semitic is absurd.

It’s as though this skinhead skank had called Ru Paul a female impersonator.

  • timzank

Jelperman..you say Ann said “she wanted to leave New York because too many Jews lived there”.

    Please cite your source.

Ann “THE NECK” Coulter ……. is America’s Tried-and-True “National Embarrassment”
………..But then being “insolent” sells book — right Ann
BTW does anyone know, who first nicknamed Ann “THE NECK”

the embodiment of a grisly car wreck you can’t turn away from shouldn’t bring up clinton’s proclivities when the only viable mate for her to spawn with is a bat.

  • germ

I can’t stand her. She is arrogant, whiny and rude.

  • Tommy Christopher

    Sara,

normally, I’d be inclined to agree with you, but in this case, I think publicizing this makes sense. These are things that even the most ardent supporters of these two must hesitate before defending. This will cost them. I believe in the humanity of a good portion of their audiences.

  • Facebook User

Why’s everyone get so rattled up when Ann Coulter gets on TV, its not like you don’t know what to expect. I thought the Jimmy Carter joke was funny.

  • Jelperman

I just don’t think it’s fair. Fred Phelps is a troll just like the Skinhead Skank, but he’s not invited on TV. At least he has a kind of quaint rustic charm when he starts foaming at the mouth.

What? No post about Olberman’s outburst? Even his own colleague is going after him (see Scarborough tweets) for his crude commentary. But, I guess since Olberman picked up on Tommy’s “sodomizing” story you have hit the big time, so KO gets a pass for his outrageous remarks.

“In short, in Scott Brown we have an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against woman and against politicians with whom he disagrees. In any other time in our history, this man would have been laughed off the stage as an unqualified and a disaster in the making by the most conservative of conservatives. Instead, the commonwealth of Massachusetts is close to sending this bad joke to the Senate of the United States.” – Keith Olbermann

” These are things that even the most ardent supporters of these two must hesitate before defending. This will cost them. I believe in the humanity of a good portion of their audiences.” Tommy

I consider what Olbermann said FAR more offensive. In fact, I would sue him if I were Brown.
Are you going to do a post on this?

  • sarainitaly

This is especially rich coming from Olbermann, a man who actually envisioned a scenario in which someone went into a room with Hillary Clinton, and she never comes out again.

“Right. Somebody who can take her into a room and only he comes out.”

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/04/25/keith-olbermanns-idea-for_n_98557.html

I will be mortified if people do not demand Olbermann be fired for his comments on Brown. Anyone who tolerates his flat out slanderous lies are deranged.

  • sarainitaly

In fact, I think the employees at msnbc should demand he be fired. This tarnishes the reputation and credibility of EVERYONE at msnbc for tolerating this slander.

Not only is Obly insulting Brown, he is insulting everyone who supports him.

Do yourselves a favor – salvage your reputation – demand Obermann be fired.

This has to be the ugliest comment I have ever heard by someone on tv.

This is damaging to anyone associated with MSNBC.

  • The Real Royal King

Sara N. Italy, you are given to the wildest over-statement. I don’t care for Olbermann, nor do I appreciate his statement. However, this is mild compared to what we hear on FOX every day, beginning with the vacuous but vicious FOX & Friends and going right through Hannity. Remember Doocy’s madrasas discussion? Beck’s labeling the President a racist? Just fill in the dots from there. Olbermann can well be canned for all I care, but if he is 90% of FOX’s programming needs to go as well.

  • sarainitaly

give me a quote from FOX that you find more offensive than Olby’s commment.

(doocy was discussing the article by Insight Magazine, about a supposed leak from Hillary Clinton that Obama went to a madrass. he also knew obama had written in his book that he attended a Muslim school. CNN (one reporter who went there) later debunked the claim that the school was a madrass….)

(beck has years of “evidence” to support his belief that obama is a racist – his association and admiration of (racist) reverend wright, his close ties to Van Jones and Jarrett and the comments they have made, Obama’s own comments and statements from his book “white mans greed, etc.”, his actions – Beck believes obama has a deep seated problem with white people. there seems to be a lot of history to come to that conclusion.)

  • blueblogger

sarainitaly and you don’t think a lot of WHITE people have a deep seated problem with BLACK people. The The Obama election has brought all of the out of the closet. I would suggest that the average person is not aware that they even have those “deep” seated feelings. Hmmm we have a long way to go in this country but just maybe this is the first tiny step. It will take far more years if ever for minorities to become accepted by many whites. They don’t see America as a melting pot any longer. It is OUR country and you can’t have it or any PART of it.

  • The Real Royal King

Sara N. Italy: Doocy went into high theatrics, using his tiresome “This is hu-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-u-ge!” line, so let’s not minimize this. It was an innocuous comment well-hidden in a magazine that he exploited for his racist and political purposes. Of course, when proven wrong, not a word of retraction or apology from this lower form. As for your defense of Beck’s indefensible comments, I have to lament that may say something very ugly about you. I’d ponder that because you don’t seem to be a particularly loathsome sort of individual. I’d be surprised if you aspired to be.

  • timzank

Why don’t you guys actually watch fox one time? Seriously, just watch it for one day. It’s obvious most of you have never seen more than “clips” and quotes.

And Jelperman, that’s a “reference” to Ann’s comments, not a “cite” where you actually prove by quote that she said that. Please follow through if possible, or is it just an inference by the author of the book you referenced?

That’s what I thought, no actual quote of her saying that is there?

  • sarainitaly

    blueblogger says:

What does that have to do with my rebuttal to RRK regarding Beck’s comments about Obama?

    The Real Royal King says:
    January 19, 2010 at 11:23 am

Back in 2007 when Obama first entered the national spotlight, and no one knew jack squat about him besides his DNC speech, (and we still don’t know that much) Doocy read that Obama, who himself said he attended a Muslim school, went to a Madrass, leaked by the Clintons. You don’t think that, had that not been later debuked by a CNN reporter, it was important enough to know?

“Of course, when proven wrong, not a word of retraction or apology from this lower form. ” ~RRK

The story aired Friday was based on an article in “Insight Magazine,” published by the conservative Washington Times. Besides insisting that Obama had attended a madrassah, the article also said that Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign was researching Obama’s background and spreading the madrassah story.

But Monday morning, “Fox and Friends” distanced themselves from the story. Co-host Brian Kilmeade noted that the Obama campaign “wanted to correct the record” and insisted that Obama had never attended a radical Islam school. Kilmeade added that the Clinton campaign also called and insisted they had no one researching Obama’s background.

“There was a firestorm created over that so we just want to say that’s the story. The Obama camp was upset so we hope they’re not now,” he said.

Then co-host Gretchen Carlson pleaded with Obama to come on the show because Fox News will be the “home” for all the information on candidates in the 2008 election. “So come back back, Senator Obama,” she said.

Then co-host Steve Doocy added that, “We’re just being fair. His camp said the ‘Insight Magazine’ article [was] wrong. We’re just putting that out there.”

Andrew Sullivan wants to climb up inside Sarah palin’s womb searching for proof she gave birth to her baby, but yet news that a presidential candidate attended a madrass wasn’t important?

I like to debate, but the opportunity never really presents itself here. There’s always a personal attack or hysterics in the replies.

  • blueblogger

sarainitaly do you always answer a question with another question? And by the way no personal attacks or hysterics from me. I try to be polite as possible. And as for Andrew I couldn’t agree with you more. He certainly has taken on some strange stuff when it comes to Palin. And just what if Obama did attend a madrass?? What is the problem with that. I attended schools in Africa as a child growing up. Big deal. I certainly didn’t suffer from it. If anything it was a great experience.

  • Jelperman

Timzank, I don’t have the book anymore, but here’s a review by Laura Flanders:

To his credit, Brock outs a slew of once-popular right-wing pundits. By Brock’s account, Laura Ingraham has a screw loose; she threatens to break all his windows after one of their wild nights on the town. Ann Coulter is a virulent anti-Semite. “That she wanted to leave her New York law firm ‘to get away from all these Jews’ was one of her gentler remarks,” writes Brock. And Brock, who is gay, describes TV talk show host Armstrong Williams “peppering” him “with graphic questions about whether I was dominant or submissive in bed.”

  • Jelperman

By the way, Coulter’s remark about the Christian mission being to “perfect” the Jews is pure anti-semitism as well:
