CNN’s Don Lemon Slams Cheney for ‘Laughable’ Iraq Hypocrisy

Today has not been a good day for Dick Cheney. He and his daughter wrote an op-ed slamming President Obama on Iraq. The derision quickly followed, with Rachel Maddow basically laughing in their faces and even Fox News’ Megyn Kelly questioned Cheney about his hypocrisy on this issue. Well, CNN anchor Don Lemon joined in tonight, with a simple message to Cheney: maybe you should just stop talking.

Lemon opened by saying, “Pot, meet kettle,” and went down a list of reasons why it’s ridiculous to take Cheney seriously on Iraq. He said, “The fact that Dick Cheney has the gall to offer anyone advice on Iraq is laughable, except it’s not funny.”

Lemon credited George W. Bush for staying silent on the current crisis in Iraq, and suggested, “Perhaps, Mr. Cheney, with all due respect, you should do the same. Have a seat.”
