I recently saw Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work. Great documentary. She has an incredible work ethic and is actually quite likable in it. Very unfortunate that she would choose to resort to using “Nazi.” Seems like the desperation for attention outweighs everything else.

If you think for yourself and start looking at ALL things as either liberal or conservative, you will see a pattern. They have no concept of the fact that acceptance of liberal ideas IS actually a conservative ideal. Liberals CANNOT see anything from a conservative point of view. The Bill of Rights is part of the Constitution, not a seperate document. And seeking to mitigate the tragedy of 40K people dying for lack of medical care, has nothing to do with denial of that Constitution. There is absolutely no bar in that document to the government setting up a single payer system (socialism). How do I know? a) The Constitution already provides for a socialist military, and we have numerous socialist systems already in place (eg: fire and police service, road repair, libraries); b) George Washington established the First Bank, a government owned bank, a socialist bank, without offending the Constitution he helped establish. We can set up a socialist medical care system if we want to. There is no Constitutional bar.

Somewhere within that tortured soul and numerously reconstructed body I must believe is a good person; I can accept her remarks for what they were–an attempt at being funny and relevant.
