Krauthammer: ‘The Press Can’t Allow Itself to Be Bullied and I’m Glad It’s Not’
Multiple news outlets, including CNN, were barred from today’s press gaggle, and a fair number of people at Fox News have taken issue with this.
Anchor Bret Baier tweeted this a few hours ago:
Some at CNN & NYT stood w/FOX News when the Obama admin attacked us & tried 2 exclude us-a WH gaggle should be open to all credentialed orgs https://t.co/8Vjcs0KCPR

He brought up the issue again on Special Report tonight, where Charles Krauthammer said the symbolism of what happened today was “alarming.”
He was particularly concerned about Trump’s use of the phrase “enemies of the people,” given historical context, and said he was glad Fox News has been objecting as well, even if the network is a “favored outlet” for the president.
“The press can’t allow itself to be bullied,” Krauthammer concluded, “and I’m glad it’s not.”
