Larry King rode the combination of Michael Jackson‘s personal chef and Ann Coulter and Al Sharpton arguing with each other to ratings success last night. King’s 9pmET show had the highest ratings of an CNN program, and was a clear #2 in the hour (FNC’s Hannity was #1 by far).

• FNC’s Bill O’Reilly had a huge night last night – by far the best ratings on cable news. As TVNewser noted in a tweet: “Bill O’Reilly on cable’s Fox News topped 30Rock/Parks&Rec reruns on NBC which averaged 3.38M.”

Rachel Maddow at 9pmET was MSNBC’s top program last night in the A25-54 demo, but not in total viewers.

• In the race for #2 in prime time, CNN won in both categories.
