Ali Velshi as Bunsen

No real philisophical reason for this. Just, y'know, look at him.

Alan Colmes as Beaker

Alan Colmes is perfect for Beaker. Not only do they have the same tufts of crazy hair but, from his time co-hosting Hannity and Colmes, Colmes already has a ton of practice being in a partnership where he's not actually allowed to speak.

Brit Hume as Sam the Eagle

This is a special comparison as Brit Hume is one of the only media figures on our list who both looks like his counterpart and sounds like him too!

Bill O'Reilly and Bernie Goldberg as Statler and Waldorf

Two cranky, old men who complain about everything and continuously subject themselves to entertainment seemingly only so that they can be mad at it? That doesn't sound like anybody.

John Bolton as The Swedish Chef

Since no one on the Mediaite staff speaks Fake Swedish Gibberish and since most of the Chef's features are covered by his hat and facial hair, we had to focus on what we could see for this comparison; his amazing, amazing moustache. No one in the media world could capture that as well as Bolton. Our apologies to John Stossel.

Chris Hayes as Scooter

Aside from the passing physical resemblance, Up with Chris Hayes star Chris Hayes exemplifies the laid-back, geek cool of behind-the-scenes fixer Scooter.

Greg Gutfeld as Rizzo the Rat

Don't blame us, Greg. You're the one who makes all the short jokes on The Five.

Chris Matthews as Fozzie Bear

Maybe there's something in the eyes or maybe there's something about Matthews' eager to please, jovial attitude. Whatever the case, he's perfect for the Muppets' ursine house standup. And, if you aren't satisfied yet, just listen to Matthews attempting to describe his new book while getting yelled at by a conservative radio host. It's exactly like Fozzie trying to tell a joke!

The Friends of Fox and Friends as Electric Mayhem

It might seem like a stretch to link the hosts of Fox News' morning show and The Muppet Show's hippie house band but the two groups always seem to have the same boisterous energy, entertaining appeal, and grasp on reality. We'll leave it up to you to decide who is who...oh, alright, here's a hint; Steve Doocy is totally Janice.

Bob Beckel as George the Janitor

George is a slightly more obscure character but we couldn't leave Beckel off this list. That guy's like a pair of goofy suspenders away from actually being a Muppet already.

Ed Schultz as Bobo the Bear

Same as Ali Velshi/Bunsen. Just look at him.

Jim Cramer as Gonzo

No, Jim Cramer doesn't have anything nearly matching Gonzo the Great's impressive snout. There aren't even any other Muppets that can match that thing. Gonzo's a complete original (read: weirdo) and, with the maniacal glee with which he dispenses business advice, the Mad Money host fits that description to a tee.

Anderson Cooper as Kermit the Frog

I know what you're thinking. How on earth could we ignore Scott Pelley? His voice even sounds a little frog-like. But the pro-Anderson Cooper camp won the Kermit the Frog day!

Nancy Grace as Miss Piggy

There is no question that Miss Piggy is not only the most glamorous Muppet, but really runs the show. That said, this was a toughie. Not because we couldn't think of a number of people who seemed like The Muppet Show's resident diva, but because we knew that if we didn't choose someone worthy, the real Miss Piggy might hunt us down with karate chopping zeal. However, even the starlet herself would have to appreciate the confidence, gravitas, fashion sense, and (as we now know) dancing ability of one Nancy Grace. It's a match made in heaven with two of our favorite TV characters (now please don't either of you hit us)!

I’m disappointed you chickened out to avoid appearing racist so I’ll unavoid it for you: Melissa Harris-Perry is a clear choice as Mrs. Snuffleupagus cuz she is clearly a racist but no one can see it.

Sharpton gets the vote for Count Von Count cuz although he can’t count, he is in fact a colored vampire.

Cornel West is Beaker cuz they both use ping pong balls for eyes.

Think of this as a political cartoon done for fun and not me with a hood over my head and ping pong balls for eyes. If black folks aren’t fair game then we turn them into an “other” and that’s racist which is my racist code talk.

Good question and the heart of my sarcasm: what does race have to do with anything? Have you never heard black self-appointed leaders complain about the lack of a black presence? I fixed that lack of presence ahead of and consistent with such complaints.

By the way, did you use a flashlight in the tunnels or the sheer power of your intellect to peer into the darkness?
