Just so I understand the point of this short article.
Sarah Palin, who is exploring the possibility of running for president, has an outdoor life show funded by Fox in which she wants to demonstrate her prowess as a hunter. Judged by comments from hunters who posted about her performance she is not proficient in this area. This is pointed out by McCain and then the writer criticizes McCain. Do I have that correct? Wow! What a twist! Almost as good as O. Henry’s Gift of the Magi!

Was there a purpose for this hub ?

From what I understand, in all of the scenes that they show S Palin shooting any kind of gun they never actually show her hitting anything, including target practice. Just a lot of cut away clips and fancy editing.

Plenty of people only hunt ‘occassionally’ and often with family members. This story and related ones are just sad. The fact that she killed the animals means she had a good shot. My family goes hunting a few times of year, when they come back with a ‘kill’ we’re all shocked. And yes, the venison is in the freezer for a LONG time since there’s a ton.

So not true, there. My best friend married a wonderful woman who is a wonderful dove, duck, and pheasant hunter as well as a better shot than you, Sarah Palin, Megan, myself, or her husband. She regularly bags the family quota for a very difficult to hit bird(s), and can dress and cook them well too for her family. Country conservative girls do have an edge over pampered city princesses. And yes, my friend and I are both “familar” with firearms … They are out there if you are willing to look outside the city, even if they are not average. Many women have a fear of firearms but this can be overcome through proper training. A bullet doesn’t care whether you have tits or not.
