WATCH: Anderson Cooper’s Emotional Tribute to CBS’ Bob Simon
CNN’s Anderson Cooper paid tribute to veteran CBS News 60 Minutes correspondent Bob Simon, who died in a car crash on Thursday night.
Cooper, who contributes to 60 Minutes, discussed Simon’s life with fellow CNN anchor Don Lemon. Simon joined CBS in 1967 and had a distinguished career that spanned more than five decades. In 1991, he was captured and imprisoned for 40 days in Iraq while covering the Gulf War.
Simon was 73. He is survived by his wife and daughter, who is a producer for 60 Minutes.
