Joy Behar Says She Got So Excited About Trump Verdict She ‘Started Leaking’ at Costco

The View was a packed house on Friday with every host gathering around the table and sharing their immediate reactions to learning the news that Donald Trump had become a convicted felon.

“This is a very unique moment in history. That’s why we’re all at the table,” Goldberg told the audience as she was joined by Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, and Alyssa Farah Griffin. Each host took turns sharing where they were exactly when they learned Trump had been found guilty on more than 30 felony counts in his hush money trial.

Behar had perhaps the most unusual answer as she shared with the table that she got a news alert while shopping and she was so excited that she started “leaking.”

“My reaction was I was at Costco buying 10 boxes of Keurig coffee and my watch started to buzz, and I got so excited I started leaking a little bit,” Behar admitted to laughter.

“So you’re the leaker?” Goldberg asked.

“I’m the leaker,” Behar responded.

She then mocked Trump’s claims of the trial being “rigged,” noting every juror found him guilty on every felony count.

“They’re going to say it’s rigged. This is rigged. That’s rigged. Brian’s rigged. We’re rigged. Everything’s rigged according to him,” she said.

Haines meanwhile said she was driving one of her children at the time when she saw the news and she called it “somber” and “sober.” Hostin shared she was attending her daughter’s high school graduation when she heard and she was the opposite of somber.

“I felt like the Knicks won the tournament! I felt like America won! I felt like New York won! I felt the Manhattan DA’s office won! I felt like I won!” she said.

Griffin, a former communications official in Trump’s White House, said she was concerned for the personal safety of the jurors and Judge Juan Merchan, and she warned her co-hosts she expects only “rage” and “retribution” from her ex-boss, who is awaiting sentencing on July 11. Both Goldberg and Hostin threw their support behind actually handing the former president a prison sentence.

“He’s going to do and say absolutely anything that he can to get elected, so buckle up because it’s rage and retribution ahead,” she said.
