Tony Blair Tells Sean Hannity What’s Similar About Clinton, Bush And Obama

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair has a new book out, A Journey: My Political Life, and his U.S. publicity tour took him to Sean Hannity‘s America – for both radio and TV interviews.

Blair talked about his dealings with former Pres. Clinton and Bush, and grouped the two with Pres. Obama in one particular area.

“I think all of them have that capacity that in the final analysis they will put the country first,” said Blair of the three most recent U.S. Presidents. “Believe me, when you’ve met many world leaders, that’s not always the case.”

Blair also talked about radical Islam, agreeing with Hannity that “the threat is real”:

I think the number of actual extremists is quite small, but the number of people who buy into the narrative, the storyline, that Islam is essentially a victim of the West, that actually the two are in fundamental conflict, that I’m afraid stretches far deeper.

Earlier Blair said “Americans are actually outgoing, they’re nice people to be with…” and Hannity cut in, “some of them.” But Blair continued his point – despite being “nice people,” “America carries the responsibility for leading the world,” and therefore may not necessarily be liked around the world.

Blair seems extremely comfortable in this setting, on Hannity’s Fox News show – displaying a reasoned but outwardly conservative world view and view of America.

Here’s part of the interview, including Blair wondering how Bill Clinton would have dealt with 9/11:
