All Smiles At MSNBC As Obama Victory Appears Imminent

The mood at MSNBC became light after an interview with Obama campaign deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter. Cutter projected confidence, and the panel guests of MSNBC noted that President Barack Obama needed to maintain Sen. John Kerry’s share of the Democratic vote in the remaining battleground states in order to win.

“We’ve all interviewed Stephanie Cutter a lot — she is confident,” said Ed Schultz.

“She’s giggling,” Chris Matthews agreed.

Former campaign manager for Sen. John McCain, Steve Schmidt, noted that the mood of the staffers that he saw behind Cutter struck him as the familiar faces of a group that knows victory is imminent.
