Awkward: O’Reilly’s Jesse Watters Talks to Muslims About Terrorism, Islamic Radicals

The Watters’ World segment on The O’Reilly Factor generally provides a bit of levity in the midst of the more serious political debating, and occasionally gets just a tad awkward. Case in point, Jesse Watters talked to a convention of Muslims in a segment that aired on the 12th anniversary of 9/11. The end result was a somewhat awkward segment in which Watters grilled Muslims about acts of terrorism committed by Islamic extremists.

One women told Watters, “If it was a Christian, they would never say it was a ‘Christian terrorist.'” Watters pressed her on exactly which Christian terrorist attacks have happened recently. She said, “I can’t recall.”

The people Watters spoke to complained about post-9/11 discrimination and NYPD surveillance. When Watters asked if moderate Muslims need to do more to protest against jihadists, another woman said, “We kind of let them do their thing.”

O’Reilly was blown away at the woman talking about Christian terrorism. Watters noted how if acts of Christian terrorism ever occurred, “A real Christian would say, ‘That guy’s not a Christian, it’s not Christian to kill people.'”
