Carly Fiorina Avoids Apologizing For ‘Petty’ Boxer Hair Remark

The recent influx of women into the national political scene (cf. “Super Woman Tuesday”), has apparently done very little to raise the level of political discourse. After getting caught on a hot mic insulting political rival Barbara Boxer‘s hair, Carly Fiorina has spent the last few days tap-dancing around the remark.

Today Chris Wallace gave her the opportunity to respond…and apologize, however Fiorina would only go so far as to say she “regretted this whole situation.”

I gave people the opportunity to talk about something petty and superficial. And this is a very serious election year about serious issues.

Uh huh. Fiorina apparently thinks this issue is also too superficial to warrant an apology. When asked by Wallace if she had called Boxer to say she was sorry Fiorina hedged with some talk about what the voters deserve. Watch below.
