Colbert Joins Fox News in Slamming Obama’s ISIS Speech Before It Happened

Stephen Colbert taped his show Wednesday night before President Barack Obama delivered his address to the nation on combatting ISIS, but that didn’t stop him from criticizing it. By doing so, he threw his hat in with Fox News hosts who spent the afternoon previewing their disappointing with the speech.

“I have no idea what he said tonight,” Colbert began. “All I know is that I completely agree with what Andrea Tantaros said at five o’clock, four hours before the president’s speech.”

“I’m very deeply troubled by what he will say,” Andrea Tantaros said on The Five Wednesday afternoon.

“I couldn’t have agreed more,” Colbert replied. “Because I also have not seen it and I am furious about what I think it will be.”

The host promised full coverage of the speech on Thursday night’s Colbert Report, “whether or not I ever watch it.”
