Don Lemon Talks to Black Santa About Being Very in Demand for Christmas

don black santaCNN’s Don Lemon got very excited today to talk to Black Santa about being so in demand during the Christmas season.

Lemon teased the segment with a “spoiler alert to anyone with children”: Santa doesn’t have time to see every single little boy and girl in the world and so he sends out very special Santa assistants to talk to good little children instead.

Santa Dee, described in the CNN chyron as “the real Black Santa,” talked to Lemon about how he got involved in the season, how in demand black Santas are, and his unique perspective as a black man dressing up as Santa.

He recalled one time when a woman at a mall walked away when she saw Santa was black, but her kids didn’t care, they were just excited to see Santa. He told Lemon, “Kids don’t see color, they see the fat man in the red suit.”

And if all this sounds familiar to you, remember, it was two years ago when Megyn Kelly bewildered everyone with her comment about how Santa “just is white.” At the time, Lemon had some fun with it.
