Fox News Anchor Claims Jewish Trump Tower Protestors ‘Hate Jewish-Americans’, Inexplicably Blames Them on ‘Open Borders’
Fox News host Harris Faulkner said Jewish protestors who occupied Trump Tower in Manhattan on Thursday “hate Jewish-Americans” and blamed their actions on the Southern Border.
Dozens of demonstrators with the progressive group Jewish Voice for Peace entered the lobby of the building and chanted for the release of detained former Columbia grad student Mahmoud Khalil.
Khalil, a legal US resident, was apprehended by immigration authorities last week. The Trump administration has accused Khalil of endorsing Hamas during protests, but has provided no evidence in support of that claim.
As NBC News noted, the Department of Homeland Security intends to deport Khalil, “citing a provision in immigration law that gives the secretary of state the authority to deport someone if it is determined that the person ‘would have serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States.'”
On Fox’s Outnumbered on Thursday, the show’s panelists reacted to members of Jewish Voice for Peace protesting the detention of Khalil inside Trump’s New York office.
Faulkner addressed Fox’s Ari Fleischer and said the Jewish demonstrators are “anti-American” and “hate Jewish Americans.” As she made these claims, Fox News aired banners from the protestors that read, among other things, “Jews for Palestinian Freedom.”
Faulkner said:
FAULKNER: And look at some of the signage in here. I mean, they hate Israel. They hate Jewish-Americans. They are anti-American.
FLEISCHER: Let me make two big points here. One, I’m going to start with the speech facade, the myth that this is about speech. What happened to Mahmoud Khalil had nothing to do with speech. It has everything to do with creating an encampment. That is where Zionists are prohibited, where Jewish students are not allowed to walk on their own campus. These are crimes. These are deportable acts. These are things that we would never tolerate. As for all these people who are now in Trump Tower, I hope that this administration will do what the Biden administration did to the January 6th people who walked inside the Capitol. They have the technology. Get their faces. Match it up with the database. And if any of them are non-citizens, every one of them is trespassing. They all should be deported from this country.
FAULKNER: Wouldn’t they be trespassing anyway if they are causing people to fear?There are people who pay to live in that residence, their businesses on that floor of the lobby. This is not a safe situation. If you are Jewish in that building, do you feel safe?
Later in the broadcast, Faulkner blamed the incursion at Trump Tower on “open borders.”
“We don’t know who these people are. I refuse to believe they’re all students. They’re coming from – wherever they are coming from – with preprinted t-shirts,” she said. “There is money behind this. And there’s no doubt about that, Lisa. We have lived through this before. This is what open borders potentially can bring you. I can’t believe everybody is here on a student visa and/or a green card in the crowd or that they are all American citizens. I think we have to find that out. And where it is applicable, as Ari has said, get them out.”
The Associated Press later reported that actress Debra Winger was among the protestors in Trump Tower.
