Fox’s Dana Perino: Obama’s ‘Had Fox News as a Villain from the Beginning’
Fox News’ Dana Perino tonight reacted to President Obama‘s comments about Fox News by contrasting him with how her former boss George W. Bush handled the press.
Obama said in an interview out this week that people view him through the prism of a “fictional character” created by the media, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, etc.
Perino recalled how the Bush team wasn’t exactly this tough on MSNBC and how Bush himself wasn’t as publicly bothered by negative press.
She told O’Reilly Factor guest host Juan Williams that the comments from Obama illustrate how the left wishes there was a “left-leaning echo chamber” as big as on the right, but she pointed out the mainstream media itself does harbor a liberal bias.
Perino noted that the comments from Obama sound similar to ones he’s made going back to 2008, observing, “He’s had Fox News as a villain from the beginning.”
