‘I’m So Thankful’: CNN’s Jim Acosta Signs Off Sunday Show For The Last Time

CNN anchor Jim Acosta signed off from CNN Newsroom on Sunday for the last time, thanking his team and the viewers, as well his guest Shanlon Wu, who brought a gift for occasion.

As part of the latest in a long series of changing schedules at the network, Acosta is moving from his post hosting several hours of weekend coverage at CNN to the weekday line-up, hosting CNN Newsroom at 10 a.m.

CNN’s This Morning is slimming down from the current 6 to 9 block to a trim and early 5 to 7, hosted by Kasie Hunt.

Acosta’s lead-in for his 10am show will be CNN News Central, that will run from 7 to 10, a newsier format to replace the morning show format that launched under former CNN chief Chris Licht.

Sunday was Acosta’s last weekend show, and he returns with the morning time a week from Monday.

On his last episode, he was joined by a number of regular guests, including Wu, who brought a bottle of wine that Acosta showed off in his sign-off, thanking Wu and the other guests who joined him for the last go.

Wu in turn shared the clip on X.

“Thank you so much for spending part of your weekends with me these last few years,” Acosta said, addressing viewers. “I will see you soon.”
