Mika Brzezinski: Giuliani “Vomited Out Complete, Baseless Lies”

Whoa, I think someone just hit a nerve. Today on Morning Joe, the gang was reading some viewer comments when one in particular put Mika Brzezinski on the defensive. “Garret from North Carolina” suggested that Mika be rewarded by the White House with her own press secretary lectern for her “unending enthusiasm to regurgitate every talking point they send her.” Mika defended herself (and took some shots at Rudy Giuliani) in a tirade that proved that Keith Olbermann isn’t the only one who doesn’t like his journalistic integrity questioned.

Mika’s impassioned response started out thusly:

“That is ridiculous. First off, I’m glad there’s someone on the set actually asking questions when people come and vomit out complete, baseless lies.”

The vomiter in question was former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani who showed up on Morning Joe last week and had some rather mean things to say about President Obama’s handling of the Gulf oil disaster. Mika claims here that Giuliani’s accusations were so untrue that the she and her co-host were “stunned silent”.
