MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Beats Anderson Cooper, Closes On Greta Van Susteren

 

Cable news ratings, February 9, 2011:

•After days of strong ratings fueled by Egypt coverage, CNN’s Anderson Cooper fell behind MSNBC’s Ed Schultz on Wednesday. The Ed Show attracted 262,000 viewers 25-54, ahead of Cooper’s 225,000 and only 43,000 off the pace of timeslot winner Greta Van Susteren at Fox News.

•On Wednesday night, CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight unveiled a live studio audience and guest Donald Trump, but the show remained in third place with viewers 25-54, behind Fox’s Hannity and MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. In terms of total viewers, Piers Morgan did better, edging Rachel Maddow and taking second place overall.
