Newsmax Host Says World Central Kitchen Workers Killed by Israel Were ‘Catering the Terrorists’

Newsmax host Chris Plante alleged that chef José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and the group’s seven slain aid workers in Gaza were “catering the terrorists” when they were killed by Israeli air strikes.

In April, Israel hit an aid convoy that had coordinated its movements with the Israeli military. Israel struck one vehicle, after which survivors got into another vehicle, only for that vehicle to be hit. The third car was struck after other survivors entered it and attempted to flee.

The Israel Defense Forces later apologized for the strikes, calling them “a grave mistake.” Two senior officers were fired.

On Friday’s edition of The Right Squad, Plante accused the victims of providing “catering” to Hamas, which perpetrated the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks in Israel.

During a discussion of the ongoing war in Gaza and the dire humanitarian situation there, one panelist referenced the attacks on the World Central Kitchen convoy while saying Israel is bombing Gaza indiscriminately.

Later in the segment, Plante returned to the comment and suggested the aid workers deserved to be killed.

“I don’t think Israel is indiscriminately killing anyone,” Plante said. “José Andrés, you know, catering the terrorists, found themselves in a motorcade of Hamas.”

Andrés has alleged that Israel deliberately struck the convoy.

“They were targeted systematically, car by car, and this happened over more than 1.5, 1.8 kilometers,” he said days after the attacks. “So this was not just a bad luck situation where, ‘Oops, we dropped the bomb in the wrong place or not.’ This was over 1.5, 1.8 kilometers with a very defined humanitarian convoy that had signs in the top, in the roof. A very colorful logo that we are obviously very proud of, but that’s very clear who we are and what we do.”
