Pink, Wet & Naked High Above The Grammy Stage (VIDEO)

There was Gaga and there was Beyonce, there was Taylor Swift and there was the Zac Brown Band, but soaring high above the rest of the 2010 Grammy Awards was a woman whose performance was daring, but beautiful and affecting — even though she was damn near to naked and hanging from a sling as water was poured on her body. Now that takes something.

Pink followed up Beyonce — a tough feat — and seemed unconcerned as she walked slowly and deliberately through the audience, clad in a silky white robe and singing “Glitter in the Air.” She would soon follow those lyrics up with action. Dropping the robe, she revealed a lot less than J.Lo wore on New Year’s — and proceeded to upstage her circus act from the VMAs on the Grammy stage, climbing into a sheer white sling and being hoisted in the air, as similarly-unclad dancers twirled and split above her. Spinning acrobatically as she sang, Pink made a soaringly beautiful accompaniment to a soaringly lovely song. Then water was poured on her, but luckily didn’t short out the mic. If this music thing ever doesn’t work out, she’s all set for a gig at The Box.

Lyrics: Glitter in the Air [Pink]
