Sean Penn Gives 60 Minutes Its Biggest Viewership in 7 Years
An interview with Sean Penn gave 60 Minutes its biggest ratings in seven years.
Charlie Rose spoke with Penn last night about his interview with El Chapo. Penn defended himself from his critics and lamented the sorry state of American journalism these days.
Well, 60 Minutes ended up getting a total of roughly 20 million viewers. This appears to be their best-rated episode since an interview with President Obama in 2008 got them 25 million viewers.
For comparison, the 60 Minutes installment featuring Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin received 15 million viewers.
