St. Louis Police Official Compares Ferguson Grand Jury Announcement to ‘Night Before Christmas’
Gabe Crocker, the president of the St. Louis County Police Association, said tonight on CNN that the long wait for the Ferguson grand jury decision is “like the night before Christmas.”
Erin Burnett asked Crocker why the grand jury decision was delayed so much for so long. Crocker didn’t say much beyond commenting on the “amount of logistical issues” that they would have to deal with.
He then went on to say, “It’s just like the night before Christmas. We all get a little impatient, so on and so forth.”
The “night’ part there is actually an issue of concern, with questions about why the grand jury will be announcing at night, as opposed to early in the morning, when the likelihood for any heated backlash would be lessened.
