‘Wake Up!’ Biden Campaign Trolls Trump Over Hush Money-Election Interference Trial With ‘Stormy’ Memo

President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign trolled former President Donald Trump over his hush money-election interference trial with a “Stormy” double-entendre-laden memo.

Monday was a dramatic day as Trump’s trial for allegedly falsifying business records to pay off porn star Stormy Daniels got underway. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg alleges those 34 felony counts constitute a plot to interfere with the 2016 presidential election by burying the story of Trump’s alleged extramarital affair with Daniels.

CNN was on the scene with branded coverage entitled “Trump Hush Money Trial,” featuring custom graphics and live coverage outside the courthouse.

There were courtroom fireworks like a ruling by Judge Juan Merchan that will allow ex-Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal — whose alleged affair with Trump, the National Enquirer’s publisher admitted to covering up “in concert” with Trump’s campaign — to testify.

And there was the Nap Heard Round The World that was reported, in an especially cruel twist, by Maggie Haberman — the reporter with the most influence over Trump.

Biden-Harris 2024 took advantage with a campaign memo that ostensibly took on Trump’s abortion positions but was full of references to the trial and the sleep incident:

Wake Up Donald: After Stormy Abortion Ban Coverage, Trump Poll Memo Attempts to Hush Panic

The Trump campaign is in full-on panic mode over abortion.

This morning, they put out a desperate polling memo (that didn’t cover the full days of fallout, and egregiously misrepresents Trump and Biden’s positions) to try and hush the awful coverage out of Arizona – and fallout from Trump’s endorsement of every extreme abortion ban in states around the country.

This gambit won’t payoff though because Trump says himself he is “proudly the person responsible” for overturning Roe and enabling Arizona’s extreme ban.

Trump’s campaign is fast asleep about a simple fact, underscored by recent polling: the vast majority of the American people, including 86% of Democrats and 67% of independents, support federal protections for reproductive freedom.

We know Trump isn’t winning on this issue because he refused to even acknowledge abortion or overturning Roe at his rally in Pennsylvania this past Saturday night.
