Al Franken Presser Slammed on Twitter: ‘Didn’t Help at All’

Senator Al Franken held an apologetic press conference today that didn’t go over entirely well on Twitter:
Franken: I remember the forced kissing and ass-grabbing incidents differently than my accusers do, but I’m tremendously sorry.

So, to be clear, he is sorry that some women say he made them feel uncomfortable, but he doesn’t recall doing anything wrong. And he’s sorry and “humbled” if they feel that way. Now, back to work.

Franken says he’s going to “try” to learn from his mistakes. How about you “do” learn from your mistakes, Senator.

Al Franken “Who knows how many more women’s asses I’ve grabbed?”
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) November 27, 2017
Franken is very sorry that he placed himself in situations repeatedly where his hand might accidentally end up on a woman’s ass

That Al Franken presser was like watching your kid struggle to finish his vegetables.

But he says he doesn’t remember the incidents? Seems strange to apologize for something you say you don’t remember happening….? https://t.co/KbPVNaSpMB

The takeaway from Franken’s press conference: he doesn’t remember sexually harassing any of the women but promised to never do it again.

Al Franken is apologizing and pledging to never again do something he says he can’t remember doing

Grabbing people’s butts during photos was apparently not as memorable to Al Franken as it was to those whose butts he was grabbing.

siri did a vast right wing conspiracy hurl women’s asses at Al Franken’s hands

That Franken press conference — If Democrats are being honest — didn’t help at all

A senator accused of sexual assault, who is not resigning, only takes three questions from reporters about those accusations. https://t.co/LtueRaCZVI

Al Franken’s defense, basically: I’m a sloppy, warm hugger, and I don’t remember grabbing women’s butts.
Except, none of his accusers said he groped them while hugging. 3 said it happened while they asked for a photo. https://t.co/tUIoC2zoal

Al Franken: “I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and doggone it, I inadvertently groped several women.”
