Allen West Blasts Dem Veteran in Congress, Questions Her ‘Loyalties’
Allen West, a former congressman and Army lieutenant colonel, recently called into question the loyalties and allegiances of Tammy Duckworth, a Democratic congresswoman who also served in the Army, over her participation, announced this week, in the House select committee on Benghazi.
West was critical of all the Democratic choices for the committee, and went down a list of reasons why none of them are fit to be on it. Elijah Cummings‘ role in the IRS hearings is suspect enough, he argued, and Adam Schiff was dismissing this as a stunt weeks ago so “he’s not serious about this.” West said Adam Smith isn’t fit for the committee because he’s “one of those geeky little debaters” and Linda Sanchez isn’t because of the “very whiny way that she has.”
But West had some striking words in particular for Duckworth, calling out the fact that she is a veteran.
“I just don’t know where her loyalties lie. For her to have been a veteran and a wounded warrior for the United States Army, she should know that this is not the right thing and hopefully she will remember the oath of office that she took as an Army officer and not the allegiance I guess she believes she has to the liberal progressives of the Democrat party.”
