Police in Charleston, South Carolina are reacting to an active shooter situation in the downtown area.
King btwn Calhoun & Morris blocked to motorist & pedestrian traffic active shooter in 400 block of King people to avoid the area.

Law enforcement has sealed off the area, and local news sources report the a restaurant has been put under lockdown after a gunman appeared inside. Ongoing reports say that the suspect declared “there’s a new boss in town” as he walked into restaurant. The incident is being treated as a hostage situation, and at least one person has been shot and hospitalized.
