CNN Analyst Blasts ‘Leftist Bigots’ Joy Reid and Al Sharpton For Hosting Racism Town Hall: ‘Utterly Ironic’

CNN law enforcement analyst James A. Gagliano did not bite his tongue when it came to news that tonight’s MSNBC town hall on racism is set to be hosted by Rev. Al Sharpton and Joy Ann Reid.
The highly anticipated town hall event, set to air tonight at 9 p.m. on MSNBC and feature Reid, Sharpton and Chris Hayes as hosts, has drawn attention for its special guest: Valerie Jarrett, former Obama adviser and subject of the racist tweet that effectively and dramatically ended Roseanne Barr‘s career today.
But while everyone was focused on Jarrett, Gagliano was focused on two thirds of the special’s hosting team, Sharpton and Reid.
“Wow. How utterly ironic,” Gagliano wrote in a tweet. “[Reid and Sharpton] lecturing on racism, and presumably, homophobia, as well. Let that sink in for a moment.”

“Just thinking … why not invite Mel Gibson?” he added in a subsequent tweet. “I mean, as long as Leftist bigots and racial-arsonists can lecture on tolerance and inclusion, why not invite ol’ Mel?”

In another tweet responding to a user questioning his attacks on Sharpton and Reid, Gagliano explained himself: he argued that Reid had reluctantly “half-admitted” to homophobic rants, and that Sharpton “literally, contributed hate-filled and incendiary rhetoric that actually incited the fire-bombing, leading to deaths”:
Reid has reluctantly “half-admitted” to homophobic rants in blog posts.
Sharpton, literally, contributed hate-filled and incendiary rhetoric that actually incited the fire-bombing, leading to deaths at Freddie’s Fashion Mart in Harlem in ’95.
What did I miss?

Gagliano added that in the 1990s, Sharpton “was infamous for hateful rhetoric.”
Reid, who hosts a weekend show on MSNBC, apologized last months for some homophobic posts from her old blog, but claimed that others were inserted by a nefarious hacker — for which she provided no plausible evidence.
