Despite Harry Reid's Koch Obsession, His Constituents Don't Care

Anyone who follows politics knows that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has a bit of an obsession with billionaire businessmen and Republican donors Charles and David Koch. The latest count shows the Democratic leader has mentioned the Koch brothers on the Senate floor a staggering 134 times.

Reid has called the brothers “un-American” and blamed them for climate change and has suggested their billions of dollars are funding a variety of insidious efforts to harm the average American.

The sounding of alarms about the wealthy conservative pair is undoubtedly meant to rally big donors into funding the Democratic Party, but the Washington Post wanted to know: Do Harry Reid’s constituents actually care about the Koch brothers?

WaPo producer Jeff Simon visited Las Vegas to ask Nevadans whether they know about the Kochs. “Barely anyone did,” he found.
