Don Cheadle Engages Michelle Malkin, Slams NBC News On Twitter Over Edited Zimmerman Tape

Actor Don Cheadle slammed NBC News on Twitter on Wednesday after the network admitted it erred in airing a misleadingly edited version of a 911 call made by George Zimmerman on the night Trayvon Martin was killed.

Cheadle spent several hours on his Twitter account engaging with his followers about the NBC tapes and engaging conservatives. Michelle Malkin’s social media site Twitchy originally reported the exchanges.

Cheadle, who rallied voters for then-candidate Barack Obama in 2008, spent several minutes engaging conservative columnist Michelle Malkin – as well as other conservatives on Twitter – over the validity of Rev. Al Sharpton as a serious political commentator and the nature of racial politics.

Cheadle spent the evening in open and even-handed debate, but made sure to sign off at the end of the night, “Oh, and righties, I don’t hate you but I ain’t a new recruit.”
