Hannity Laughs Off Media Coverage of His Bombshell Giuliani Interview: CNN, MSNBC Should Give Me ‘A Paycheck’

Throughout the day, the dominant story on cable news — without question — was Rudy Giuliani‘s bombshell interview with Sean Hannity.

Ordinarily, the host of a cable news show would be elated if their conversation with a newsmaker received wall-to-wall coverage. But the Fox News 9 PM star seemed somewhat more amused than thrilled at the fact that his big interview was everywhere.

“The 24 hour non-stop coverage was so constant, so obsessive, so outrageous, well, it’s actually almost funny.” Hannity said. “Except it’s too serious.”

Hannity played a montage of various anchors, reporters and pundits across cable news discussing the interview.

“It’s almost unbelievable, but it’s all too predictable,” the Fox News host said. “The media cannot stop playing this show, meaning Hannity, and the interviews that we conduct. It seems like they’re featuring me more than their own hosts. Now, I’m beginning to think at this point maybe I need to start collecting a paycheck from ABC, CBS, NBC, fake news CNN and the conspiracy theory network MSNBC.”
