Limbaugh: Brian Williams Wanted to ‘Steal Someone’s Valor in the Military’

Rush Limbaugh continued hammering Brian Williams on his radio show today over his repeated misstatements, going so far as to accuse him of trying to steal the valor of a United States service member.

Williams’ most recent invocation of what happened to him in Iraq––a very inaccurate one––was meant, as he phrased it, as an “attempt by me to thank one special veteran.”

Limbaugh, however, said Williams just loved to make himself a part of the story and he had a more devious angle in mind:

“You want to be in the story. You want to steal someone’s valor in the military. You want people to think you’re dodging bullets out there in order to bring them the news. These anchors want to be the story. They want to be in the story. They want to change the story. They want to influence the outcome of the story.”
