Limbaugh Defends Carson’s Holocaust Remarks: ‘Blatant Common Sense’

Ben Carson got in some hot water last week when he said that if Jews in Europe had guns, the Holocaust would have been “greatly diminished.” Now, plenty of people were offended by Carson’s simplistic statement; Seth Rogen told him “fuck you” and the Anti-Defamation League called Carson’s claim “historically inaccurate.”

And, of course, there was Fox News’ Dr. Keith Ablow defending Carson by saying that Jews in Germany had not “more actively resisted the Nazi party” and had “surrendered the demonstrated intention, at all costs, to resist being deprived of liberty.”

Rush Limbaugh also came to Carson’s defense today amid what he deemed a “silly controversy.”

He said that Carson’s comment was just “blatant common sense,” insisting that yes, “the Nazis would have had a little bit more trouble” if the Jews had been armed.
