Rand Paul: Unsure I’ll Run in 2016; ‘My Wife Is Not Completely Convinced’ Either

This is the time of the presidential election season where the news media desperately scrambles for morsels of a potential candidate’s thought-process. Will he run for president? Will he eventually run for president? And if he won’t run for president, why is he a coward?

Thus, we have this new quote from Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), widely seen as a possible GOP candidate, who told RealClearPolitics at a fundraiser in New Hampshire that he and his wife… “really haven’t finally decided”:

My wife is not completely convinced of it. And some of it is that things can change. Within six months, will we still be in a position, through national surveys, that people think we can compete? Will there be a reason why we couldn’t? So I think you have to wait a little while until you get closer to the season of campaigning for that office.

Get to decrypting that statement, NSA. Chop chop.
